Hanna has an MA in Comparative Drugs & Alcohol Studies from Middlesex University, having previously volunteered in her local drug treatment service and personally seeing the negative impact that current drug policy has on people who use drugs. Having been involved in Labour for the last few years, she was also the Membership & Campaigns Officer for Southampton Young Labour before relocating to Brighton at the start of this year.
Outside of Labour, Hanna has been an active member in community organising through her students' union. She undertaken research around drug policy, specifically with higher education institutions and Release. She is also part of the secretariat for the APPG for Drug Policy Reform.
