Grimsby Meeting

  • The Grimsby Institute Grimsby DN34 5BQ UK (map)

Is the War on drugs working in Britain?

Unnecessary drug-related deaths are at record levels, too many drug users are receiving criminal sanctions rather than the treatment they need and young black and ethnic minority people are being disproportionately arrested for drug possession.

The Labour Campaign for Drug Policy Reform (LCDPR) believes the UK’s drug policy needs to change and it is bringing this conversation for reform to communities across the country.

On the 18th July, the campaign will be coming to the Grimsby Institute.

This is a unique opportunity for the people of Grimsby and North East Lincs to change U.K.'s drug policy for the better.

So, come and join us to shape Labour's and the U.K.'s drug policy for the future.

This event at the Grimsby Institute will be chaired by Melanie Onn MP (Great Grimsby) and will feature a keynote speech from Neil Woods, former undercover drugs operative and bestselling author of Good Cop, Bad War.

Our panellists will also include Keith Hunter PCC, Addaction NELincs, Ron Hogg PCC and representation from LEAP.

Doors will open at 18:30. Refreshments will be provided. Come along, bring your friends, have your say and let's change drug policy for the better.
